Are these compatible with UK practice power supplies?
Yes. All three Castellini models run on 220/240V at 50Hz, 2300W rated power. They plug into a standard UK 13A socket and don't require a dedicated supply.
What's the difference in B-cycle time across the three models?
At 17 litres, the standard B-cycle on C Platinum and C Plus completes in 31 minutes thanks to Modular Drying, which adapts the drying phase to the load. The C Series uses standard drying — its B-cycle takes 42 minutes at 17L, 46 minutes at 22L, and 56 minutes at 28L.
For practices running multiple cycles per day, that's a meaningful productivity difference over the working week.
Do all three models support Prion-cycle sterilisation?
Yes. All three Castellini autoclaves include a 134°C Prion B cycle (18-minute sterilisation hold) plus the standard B / S / Vacuum / Helix and B&D test cycles. There's also a Custom cycle that lets you set temperature, sterilisation time and drying time within defined ranges.
How much water does the recycling system on C Platinum actually save?
C Platinum uses two filters working together: a demineralisation filter on the main reservoir, and a recirculation filter on the secondary reservoir that purifies used water for reuse. The result is 50 sterilisation cycles from just 5 litres of mains water.
This is unique to C Platinum within the range — C Plus uses an integrated demineralisation filter (still mains-water fed, but no recycling), and the C Series uses mains water with optional demineralisation accessories.
What chamber capacities are available, and how many trays do they hold?
All three models are available in 17, 22, and 28-litre chamber sizes. External dimensions are identical at 500 × 490 × 600 mm — installation footprint doesn't change with chamber capacity.
The C Series specifies 5 trays for 17L and 22L models, 6 trays for 28L. An optional Modular Tray Holder accessory adds three pairs of shelves for bulkier loads on all three ranges.
How does cycle reporting and traceability work?
C Platinum and C Plus connect via integrated Wi-Fi or Ethernet to Castellini's Di.V.A. Cloud platform, with the SterilConnect app providing real-time monitoring from any mobile device. Both support QR code or Barcode label printing for patient-level traceability via the optional MyTrace software.
The C Series saves up to 10,000 cycles to internal memory, downloadable as PDF via the front USB port. The supplied DataSter software automates downloads to a network folder. Wi-Fi/Ethernet connectivity is built in, with Cloud platform integration as an optional upgrade.
